FAAZMIAR has launched a new initiative to better prepare university students for the transition into the industry. We introduced the FAAZMIAR UniTechTalk series, designed to spotlight the latest technologies being applied in the upstream oil and gas sector.
Our expert speakers, who are actively involved in the industry, bring first-hand experience in implementing and promoting various cutting-edge technologies. The goal of this series is to spark interest and stimulate conversations among students and lecturers around these emerging topics, encouraging them to think critically and engage in discussions. By doing so, we aim to inspire innovation and problem-solving, which could lead to valuable contributions to the industry’s development.
In Episode 1, Ir. Razak presented the topic “Application of Machine Learning in Drilling Real-Time Operations Analysis.” His talk highlighted how machine learning is transforming real-time drilling operations, driving improvements in efficiency, safety, and decision-making. The session covered the basics of machine learning, practical applications within drilling processes, and the benefits and challenges of real-time data analysis. The hope is that students and lecturers walked away with not only a deeper understanding of how machine learning is revolutionizing the drilling industry but also practical insights on how they can embrace these technologies in the future.
